VIDEO: Student Uses Chair For Protection While 7.0 Magnitude Earthquake Rocks Anchorage, Alaska

A 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit about eight miles north of Anchorage, Alaska on Friday. The quake prompted local authorities to declare a tsunami warning, which was later canceled.

Some videos posted on social media show cracked roads, grocery store items being knocked off shelves and building fires, but one in particular showed a student taking cover underneath a… chair.

Although any cover is better than none, there are multiple tables seen nearby. Wouldn’t it have been wiser to use one of those for protection?
