Remember the movie Eyes Wide Shut starring Tom Cruz and Nicole Kidman?
Well, it looks like that wasn’t just a work of fiction; there is apparently something very similar going on inside a tightly guarded community located in Isleworth, Florida.
Many celebrities either currently live or have lived in Isleworth, according to yourorlandorealty.com:
Tiger Woods has called Isleworth home, as have many professional golfers including Mark O’Meara, Stuart Appleby, Robert Allenby, Charles Howell III, Lee Janzen and Paula Creamer. NBA stars such as Shaquille O’Neal, Grant Hill and Dwight Howard have also lived in Isleworth. Other athletes, from baseball hall of famer Barry Larkin and Ken Griffey Jr. to actor Wesley Snipes also have been Isleworth Residents.
Other celebrities have called Windermere home at some time. Boy band groups N’Sync and The Backstreet Boys, and former manager Lou Perlman have also resided there. Baseball’s Johnny Damon grew up in Dr. Phillips and has resided in Windermere for some time.
Getting inside the neighborhood is no easy task, but one brave outsider was able to sneak his way in. What he discovered was a bit unsettling:
“All throughout the neighborhood are these strange sculptures. Most of the faces are wearing the same mask as the main character from Eyes Wide Shut. While making my way to the various mansions, I also saw weird witch-looking statues ‘hiding’ near the edges of the woods.”
The sculptures were created by artist Philip Jackson. Here is his bio:
Philip endeavors to divide his time between public commissions and work destined for galleries. His celebrated masked and ecclesiastical figures can be found in many places around the world. With an increasing demand for his works for the public domain, Jackson`s most recent creations in this sphere include the Jersey Liberation Square (St Helier Jersey) Constantine the Great (York Minster) the Wallenberg Monument (Great Cumberland Place London) and Christ in Judgement for Chichester Cathedral. Current projects include a monument for the Royal Hospital Chelsea to be unveiled in London.
In addition to his religious works, Jackson also dabbles in the occult, as seen in the photos above.
Who commissioned him to create those disturbing statues and place them throughout the Florida neighborhood?
Why are the rich and famous so obsessed with things that most normal folks find outright appalling and disgusting?
Most importantly, what really goes on behind closed doors in Isleworth?
Maybe we don’t want to know…
