An event called ‘Reparations Power Hour’ planned on January 30, 2019 in Portland, Oregon is gaining steam on Facebook.
The event aims to give “black, brown and indigenous” people $25 cash, which is “paid for in part by white folks.” Free food and drinks will also be provided.

-Show up! Black, Brown and Indigenous people, this event is specifically for you.
-Be nourished! Food and drinks will be provided by Brown Hope and the business sponsor.
-Get 25! Receive $25 in cash as reparations**, paid for in part by white folks.
-Build power! Every Happy Hour will feature a 45 minute discussion about a local and relevant policy topic for us to collectively weigh in on.
