During a press conference on Thursday, Governor Ralph Northam (D-VA) told reporters he doesn’t have “any regrets” when asked about his recent endorsement of post-delivery abortions.

Northam explicitly endorsed the idea that an abortion could be carried out even if the mother is in labor and the child’s head was crowning, stating that in such a situation, the baby would be delivered, resuscitated if necessary, then “kept comfortable” while the new mother and her “provider” make a determination about the fate of the infant’s life.
