Ann Coulter so far been worse than any year She then mockingly called the situation “3-D chess,” a term coined from the original phrase “4D chess”: Surge of illegal aliens under Trump is worse than under ANY year under Obama. That’s 3-D chess, baby! https://t.co/q7OO9zzdvP – Ann Coulter (@AnnCoulter) May 8, 2019 Coulter cited statistics posted earlier by NumbersUSA, an organization that “provides a civil forum for Americans of all political and ethnic backgrounds to focus on a single issue, the numerical level of U.S. immigration.” Their numbers: 107,212 250,000 and there are still 5 months left in FY2019 The government defines a family unit as representing the number of individuals (either a child under 18 years old, parent, or legal guardian) apprehended with a family member by the U.S. Border Patrol. Here are some more statistics from the official U.S. Customs and Border Protection website: The agency reported that in April, 98,977 people were apprehended between ports of entry on the Southwest Border, compared with 92,831 in the month of March and 66,883 in February. In FY18, a total of 396,579 individuals were apprehended between ports of entry on our Southwest Border. What is causing the drastic increase in the number of illegal aliens flocking to the U.S.? Is it simply because the economy is “booming,” therefore making our country a more attractive target for these foreigners? The fact that so many are actually being apprehended after they cross the border is somewhat comforting, but after all the talk of abolishing “catch and release” programs, they”re actually still around (and expanding). It is quite clear that illegal immigration is far from being solved, even though this particular issue was one of Trump”s main platforms in the 2016 presidential election. The wall has still not been built. Sanctuary cities and states are threatening our safety and security. Old diseases are being reintroduced to the population. Poverty and homelessness (especially in inner cities) are on the rise. Drugs and human trafficking are continuing to pour in. The list goes on. Congress is now dominated by the Democrats, who vehemently oppose the border wall, let alone any kind of border security (regardless of what they say). Trump has yet to seriously explore other options (perhaps through executive order?) The military is on standby and could easily use their personnel and resources to complete the wall – all at the single stroke of a pen. Why is this not happening? Solve, once and for all, the border crisis and out-of-control illegal immigration Main Image Credit: Reuters / Kevin Lamarque 72 views
